Scandinavian Business Seating (SB Seating) is Scandinavia’s leading player in development, design and production of seating solutions for private and public office environments. The Group owns the leading Scandinavian brands HÅG, RH and RBM and has production facilities in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
The Board of SB Seating has decided to move production of RBM products from Fjerritslev, Denmark to the production plant in Nässjö, Sweden. The focus on RBM products will be maintained, and through the move we will strengthen our ability to deliver products to our customers at competitive terms.
The move is part of an overall plan to further utilise and optimise the Group’s existing production capacity. Various alternatives have been evaluated in order to determine optimal use of this capacity. Following a thorough evaluation the Board of SB Seating has concluded that the best solution is to close down the production in Denmark.
Negotiations with the employees in Fjerittslev will start immediately and are expected to be finalized by mid-April, 2009. Relocation will start during summer and is expected to be finalised by September 30, 2009.
